QB from McKinney is a standout baseball player too, was selected for the USA National Junior team.

I think Sweetwater Red is saying since Denison beat BS by 7 and Sweetwater beat BS by 21 that Sweetwater would beat Denison by 14. :D :D

It's been a while since Denison put Sweetwater in its place. I'm sure they wouldn't mind doing it again.

Sad thing is since Denison's been thrown in the middle of the Snyder Sweetwater mess I'm about the only person here who cares! Don't y'all hate each other enough to carry on without any help from other teams?

Good Lord! Did both defenses just stay on the bus?
This is rediculous for anything but a 6 man game.

Plain and simple:

Denison's pass defense is horrible, McKinney's passing game is good.

Denison's running game is good, McKinney's run defense is horrible.

Coming in to the season it was no secret that defense would be Denison's weak point. I knew they would have to outscore teams to win. Fortunately they are able to do so against most teams they face. They have put up 44, 44, 49, 44, and 65 so far. The defense is bad and has not been helped by the fact that Denison scores quickly. Last night Denison's first 3 scores were runs of 78, 70, and 77 yards. I believe heading into last nights game they had 25 plays of 50+ yards on the season. The scores may not be quite so high the rest of the way but you can be certain that when they take the field a lot of points are going to be scored. Unfortunately unless the defense improves drastically any shot at a long playoff run seems slim.

Sweetwater hating Snyder is a myth. I really wish no one would
have mentioned either town on this thread. I just wanted to
talk Denison football. :(

Cool! Another Yellow Jackets fan!

So what the heck should they do to fix the defense?

Well I don't see them switching to the 10-1 anytime soon. My
advice would be to blitz more or develop some sort of pass
rush to take some of the pressure off the secondary.

I guess they could blitz more, but who are they going to bring? There aren't enough guys close to the line. By the time someone gets there the ball will be long gone! I'm sure the coach is trying to get some sort of pass rush but most of the time it's not working.

What makes the game even more incredible is that Denison's starting QB Jordan Taylor broke his collarbone in the third quarter ... and not only continued to play, but led his team to the win.

Taylor is out for the rest of the regular season. But as long as they have someone to keep handing the ball off to Jones, they'll be OK.
