This is a phenomenon I really do not understand. People actually get mad or make snide comments if someone makes a lot of posts as if there is something on the line for who has the most posts next to their handle. I never have gotten why that's a big deal with several folks on this board. :confused:

I think some people actually care about the numbers. I think sometimes its just a case of having everything else on the board pushed to the second page and some posts in turn getting "lost." Of course I don't know why anybody cares about posts over here getting pushed back or lost.

Then there are some who think they are being "cute", when pushing buttons is the last thing they should be doing. And yes, there are threads with decent info that people read on here.

I still can't fathom why anyone would care about how many posts they make or why anyone gets bent out of shape at the total number of posts made by someone else. Everytime I see someone mention "post padding" I just have to laugh a bit.

I'm willing to bet though that there would be many folks who would just quit posting here if they didn't have a running count on their total posts next to their name. That's just odd to me and I'll never understand that. To each his own though I guess.

I think you would agree that this same thing is what gets the majority of posters banned.
