Starters Returning: 6 offense 5 defense
Key Players: QB Adrian Alaniz, RB Julian Ruiz, DB Chance Schmidt
Matthew328's outlook: Coming off the best season in school history the Pirates appear primed for more big things in 2002..with the return of many key players Sinton could be primed for a return trip to state...Alaniz is a double threat to run or throw and he his deadly at either...Ruiz leads the way in the backfield as he had over 1000 yards last year and 10 TD's..however replacing his backfield mate Marcus Charles will be a key..speedy Bubba Heard could be that man...the line lost a lot and they will have to be replaced, but many around the program feel that can be done..the defense should be fine as Schmidt leads all returning players in the state with 11 INT's and Curt Jones will anchor the defensive line...Jones recorded 154 tackles last season...if the lines can be as good or even close to what they were last year then you can bet Sinton will be in the hunt...
