Soooo......a funny thing happened on the way home from the hospital.

Actually....it wasn't funny at all!!

My son, my daughter-in-law, my granddaughter and myself were all in the elevator to come home about 6:00 and when the elevator door started to open, my granddaughter put her hand on it to help it along (like she always does at my office, whose doors open from the middle out)....bad thing is, on these doors, the right door slides into the left door which then both slide left into the wall.

She had her hand on each door and when it started to open, it drug her right hand into the left door and then started dragging her along to the wall.

My son yanked her hand out of the door and she was screaming louder than I have ever heard her scream. Her two fingers immediately swelled up and she wouldn't bend them...her parents were freaking.

I decided since we were right there at the hospital just take her to the ER. So after two hours and some x-rays, she got away with badly bruised fingers.

The hospital is picking up the bill too, since it happened there.

Anywho....here is a pic of Baby Braxton that I took this morning.

And here is a picture of the injured fingers.....

Congratulations Ranger Mom on your newest grandbaby. I always love hearing about grandkids. Your Braxton is a handsome baby and has a cool name!
I've been looking forward to having my own.......and now I do too!!!! :D
Not trying to hijack this thread from yours BUT
I just have to add mine also.

The day before RM was waiting for hers,
I was at the hospital in Grapevine, with my oldest daughter and son-in-law waiting for the arrival of my first g-baby!
BJ (the dad) and I were the only two besides the Dr & nurse in the delivery room and both had our own "jobs" with the delivery.
I swear I was totally worn out after it was over and extremely sore the next day. (the new mommy wasn't as sore as me....must be my old age)
Lisa's doctor was the greatest and so very nice. AND she made sure I had could get pictures that I wanted.
We are all in love with that precious girl.

Baby is very health & strong and mom is doing great!
Her dad, a rough and tough 5a OC fell for that little girl so fast, he didn't know what hit him.
Once he held her, I didn't think he would ever let her go. This whole experience was really special and I am a very proud mom and grandma!

I stayed for a week to help out and do a little "training" when asked, but had to get back to Sealy.
Couldn't take any more time away from "my baby" girl, who is a senior this year.
I missed 2 volleyball matches :( that's the first (& 2nd) time I ever missed anything!
I'm torn....But as soon as VB season is over, I'm headed back north for a short while. Hopefully when Football is over, they'll come for a visit here.
