How long has Sandifer been there? Were they good before he got there?

Started as an assistant FB and Head BB in late 70's. Was probably known as one of the best Basketball coaches in the state in the early 80's and Wylie was a BB powerhouse, but just an average Football school. In 1986 Hugh became both the Head FB and Basketball coach and after a couple of years of doing both he finally gave up the Bball. He has built this program to what it is today.
