MaxPreps 3A Rankings for the Week of 9/29/08

Their ratings are similar to mine in regards to ranking Bellville, Burkburnett and Sweetwater all in the top 10. I'm not quite sure how Cuero managed to move up despite losing though. They may still be in the process of updating.

Wow! As a Burkburnett Bulldog fan, I am happy but a little shocked. We have a great team but to place us among the ranking elite...wow!

I think the Burkburnett@Bridgeport game will be one to watch for sure coming up on October 10th.

I don't know what is meant by "way to high" but we have beaten Sweetwater and Argyle this season.

And we don't set rankings either...that is someone ele's job.

But Burk has beaten:

Sweetwater 10-6
Argyle 26-14
Graham 40-7
Gainesville 51-0

We also scrimmaged Mineral Wells who scored no points and Holliday (a 2A school who is unbeaten) who scored once during the scrimmage.

So all I am saying is...Let's enjoy the Game :)

Burkburnett is slightly north of Wichita Falls, almost to the Oklahoma border. North on I-44

Im not trying to take anything away from Burk, but none of those teams are playing real good football. Argyle appears to be down this year and Gainsville might aswell join the state school in Gainsville. Its asham how bad that program has gotten.

Oh I I didn't think you were. We are just rolling along. It is a shame regarding Gainesville. Leopards were always a powerhouse. And I am not one of those "beat my chest for the team" kinda people. We got a scare in Eastern Hills last week. We were not expecting that kind of speed in the secondary.

I have not seen Bridgeport play. Only comparing teams/records. My son, who plays for Burk, and I are going to Graham to watch them play Friday for our open date to see what we can find out.

It should be a good game against Bridgeport.:D

I'm sure the kids at the Gain"e"sville state school atleast know how to spell. You need to remember something, Keith7 said that the Gainesville 8th grade team is full of studs.

i think if sweetwater were to play them now they would win, and if you want to put snyder on that list why dont you throw in big spring too?

I wasn't saying that, I was being realistic.

Anyone knows that Wylie would beat Sweetwater.

Snyder only deserves a spot in between #10 and #15.

It appears that they have finally completed updating...

I'm seeing a theme in that Bellville, Burkburnett and Sweetwater ALL are a lot better than expected and/or are generally being way underrated in the human only polls
