Why I am Cheering for the Tigers to beat the White Sox

If the White Sox win the Twins have another game and Justin Morneau has a chance to pass Josh Hamilton for the RBI championship in the American League. So with that said lets go Tigers.

towards regular season stats?

Nope...tie-breaker games count as regular season games, and all statistics count toward the regular season results.
