You guys crack me up! Where has this mighty 'shut down defense' been? Couldn't hold the late lead against a weak (by their standards) Stephenville team, got absolutely embarrassed in the second half by LaVega, had 56 hung on you (defense/offense/special teams--doesn't matter, they still put up the points... ) by Liberty Hill. Now you're going to face a balanced offense--one that can actually run and throw. Sorry, we don't put up 50 a game--don't need to... just control the clock, make 1st downs, keep your offense off the field. BTW--Our new kicker has not missed... 31-21 Wylie.

Brownwood doesn't just run the ball either. All you have beaten is teams that just run the ball. I would say that this would be a shootout but you don't have the offense to make it one. It will be lopsided in Brownwood's favor. We'll see how that ball control works out for you when you are down by 21. :rolleyes:

The only way that ball control works is if you have a lead and you keep scoring. If you think La Vega would do that to us again you are out of your mind. That was Week 2. A lifetime ago.

Get ready. Brownwood is getting ready to expose Wylie in a big way and there won't be a thing Wylie can do about it.

Cupcake Killer?:doh: :thinking: Wylie and Brownwood have played comparable schedules. Dawgs 3-2 and had a chance to win every game. Kitty Kats 1-3 and were embarred in the second have of the LV game, as well as giving up 56 in a loss the LH, Wylie just drove 5 hrs a defeated formily "undefeated" 4A Canyon. If our schedule is a cupcake schedule then I guess Brownwoods schedule is also a cupcake schedule with double icing. At least we manage to stay above .500. If you happen to defeat a 1-3 Manor, who's only win came against 0-4 Lampasas, an Brownwoods only win is against 1-4 Burnet. Wow! doesn't sound like much of a schedule to me. The only team on Wylie,s schedule that has more than 1 loss is Vernon, who has turned out to be a cupcake. The other two teams only loss is to..........Yep, you got it, The Dawgs, so shut up or put up because up till now you have nothing to brag about:D

The 2 differences between Brownwood and Wylie is Wylie has a better run defense and Brownwood has a better pass offense. I just can't for the life of me think of how Wylie has an advatage in this. Also, if you do not think matchups are important in predicting games, then you aren't paying any attention. It is the same false philosophy that LH was going to kill Brownwood. I'll post my opinions and what I think will happen and most of the time I think Brownwood will win because I know the potential. But if it doesn't happen, I will still cheer for Brownwood and still think they will win the next week. Come on now, get some perspective in all this. Red heads have too much of a temper...

I will give credit that Canyon was undefeated when Wylie played them, but who have they played?
They beat Andrews (1-3) by 11, beat Hereford (2-3) by 9 and beat Seminole (2-3) by 1. Heck, S'water beat Seminole by 7 so what does that tell you? Andrews lost to Ft.Stockton (1-3), Mid. Christian, Big Spring and they beat powerhouse Fabens (1-4).

Canyon being undefeated, at the time Wylie played them, is mostly due to the teams that they played prior to the Wylie game were just not very good.

You know what...you are spot on. I have a good reason for it. The rule I was introduced to about respect when coming on the Downlow was you are not given any respect until it is earned. No respect was given to Brownwood when we dropped and until it is earned by beating Brownwood, it won't be given.

Have you ever considered maybe a line of blow-up farm animals? I think Snyder would be an instant market. It's pretty lonely out there in Scurry County. OK, it is finally Friday, and the Brownwood - Wylie game is one week away. I say we pull off the gloves and start really talking some smack. My guess is that the closer it gets, the Brownwood posters will start getting scared and retreat back to their own little website where they can say all that dumb stuff without one of us more witty posters making them pay for it. Our passing game is very tough to defend. Not saying it cant be done, but no one has really stoped it yet. La Vega (and our special teams fumbles) just kept the offense off the field. OK my Wylie counterparts the time has come. Yall think yall are better, we think(know) we are better and so it goes. The game will be decided soon. All our injuries have been recovered from. The Oline is back intact which means more size and depth on the Dline which hopefully helps cure what has been our problem on D since zero week against Burnet(which looks like a better win than yall thought ha LH). I can't wait for the game.
