For those of you who believed the Snyder posters about Big Spring being good, you better believe Sweetwater is great after what I just saw. It really wasnt much of contest if you asked me. And the most I saw that supposed stud MLB from Big Spring do all night was pick himself up off his butt after most plays.
This game could have been a runaway if the Mustangs hadnt of shot themselves in the foot a few times.

Sweetwater's run game was firing on all cylinders. They could run the ball at will. They even passed a few times.......with completions!!!!!

And actually dropped a few others that were in the hands. One would have been a TD for sure, and maybe another.
I must say, this is very encouraging to see. Looks like Jackson finally got the message. This was a very good win for the players and coaches. Anybody penciling in an easy W against the Mustangs this season, might be in for a huge surprise. This team is for real!

Matt Hord had 4 receptions for 75 yards! We also 3 or 4 drops.

The offense and defense looked really good tonight, the off week and here comes district!!

On a sad note the big kid from Big Spring #86...went down with a knee injury. He was in a brace at the end of the game, I don't want to say what he told us, but it didn't sound good. I hope he is going to be ok and get to play again.

Not me! I know what I show last year at Clyde! The team was young and if they can coach those kids right our dist is going to have tough time vs SW! Congrats!

they had just enough of the passing game to compliment the running game. It was very encouraging to see, and it is about darn time. I was very impressed with the performance of the team tonight with the exception of some very stupid penalties. But overall a great game!:clap:

Great! We had alot of penalties too! I believe we might of had about 12 -15. I think that is all we need to fix now before dist.

Short and to the point.

Big Spring's #68 hurt his knee in the later part of the first
quarter. They carted him off the field, through the home side
crowd and down to our field house in the third quarter. I really
felt bad for the kid after seeing the look on his face as they drove
by.

As for the game, Sweetwater was never threatened. We
controlled the tempo from start to finish. Big Spring is by far the
slowest team I've seen all year. Their fastest player was their
RB and we had four guys chase him down on his long run.

I really enjoyed watching us mixing it up with the run and pass.
Who knew we might have an all-district WR in Matt Horde. :D

The secondary played lights out last night. They were sticking
people and ran step for step with the WRs on every play. Wetzel
had two interceptions.

Next up Wylie/ Brownwo.....I mean Sweetwater/ Breckenridge.;)

Don't get too excited, Monahans scrimmaged them and they are much weaker than the 4A team we just beat. I have not understood how Snyder could still be ranked other than reputation after losing to them. I certainly have my fingers crossed that Sweetwater keeps winning so they are around in late November/December.
