Don't everybody "yawn" at once----things are so slow on the board that I'm having to resort to things like this--- and this is always a sure-fire kick-starter....

Who's got speed to burn?

Anybody want to strike the first "match"? :D

Daingerfield?

Cameron's pretty fast with Freeman, Williams, Haynes, and Anderson...the RB Kelly's pretty quick as well

If there is a faster team than La Vega, I don't want to play them.

Gilmer never really has burners..they are one of the few East Texas powers that are not full of speedsters...though I hear this year's team is faster

Liberty Eylau also has lots of speed at the skill positions.

I'd say we have team speed that's the equal of any team in Class 3A, but we have no clue as to what to do with it on a consistent basis offensively. Pretty frustrating to watch, but oh well it could be worse.

Well with all the track kids on the football field every year, and winning state 3 of the last 4 years. Is there really anyone with more speed the Cuero?

The UIL's website doesnt give the athletes' classifications from last year's State Meet. I dont't know any other way to determine the speed of this years skill players. Unless you are some sort of 3A track GURU I am lost; and there is no one that can watch that much football to know for sure.

"I heard Kepdawg once watched a hundred episodes of the "three stooges" in a row; and he never cracked a smile."

I certainly don't have the classifications of other teams, but I can help with Cuero's guys

1 Cuero 4 x 200 1:26.72
1) Amand Avery-Green (SOPH) WR/DB
2) Brent Johnson (SR) WR/DB
3) Isaiah Glover (SR) WR/DB
4) Stefon Hargrove (graduated)

1 Cuero 4 x 100 41.34

How do you guys pull it off every year? There are 5A schools that can't make a run every year yet Cuero always manages to be in the mix. What's the deal?

Caldwell's got three speedy rotating backs, including two who have rushed for between 140-180 yards in 3 games and another who has rushed for 130-plus in 2 games. Perfect for Slot-T.

still werent fast enough to get outside on Kilgore. I know Traylor had to be telling those kids to cut the ball back up field against the grain.

Kilgore had some guys that could get to the edge. but like i said in another thread, I doubt we will play a 3a team the rest of this year that has both the size and speed that Kilgore had.
