I guess if you can't sell out the stadium, you just add more home games. ;)

Not a single true road game until the sixth game? K-state could be a buzzsaw.

2009 Non-Conference:
at Miami, Tulsa

2010 Non-Conference:
Air Force, Florida State,
at Cincinnati, Utah State

2011 Non-Conference:
at Florida State, Tulsa

More to come in '09 and '11. So don't know about seeing a USC, Florida, UGA, or LSU.

The difference is, Texas will go 10-2 with their weak non-conference schedule...Aggies will still go 5-7

Ya but we are definitely talking about the schedule not how good teams are, if Texas is so much better though how come they have yet to play or will play anybody good from non-conference this year?

Well...The schedules are made a few years in advance. This season we had Arkansas in week 3 (pushed back to week 5 due to Ike). They aren't doing very well this year, but are usually a strong team. Had McFadden and Jones not entered the draft early then our schedule is COMPLETELY different because that came possibly has NC contention (sp?). But the same can be argued for a&m, they scheduled Miami the past two years, they were about to play or just played the national title game when that game was booked.

I really don't think there is any shame in having warm up games in your pre conference part of the season (as long as you dont get embarassed by the likes of App. State or say Arkansas St.....joke....we almost lost last year) because the gamble is too risky to book USC, Ohio St. and Penn State early on because if you loose the first 4 of 5 games, you're BCS chances are shot. It works to your advantage in High School to have a touch non district because there is no ranking system. But we all know where I'm going with this.

When you have the likes of #2, # 6, # 9, and # 18 in your conference (Texas is also # 7) why in the world would you play another tough OOC school? There's no need to.
