in the old day the state championship wasn't decided on tie breakers unless the coaches agreed.......most settled for co-championships.

in old days there wasn't overtime......they used do some really lame things back then....not odd to have tie breakers for playoff spots broken with a coin flip........one of the weird things was i remember in sports like baseball and basketball district play was broken down into two rounds...you could have a team go 6-1 the first round and one go 7-0 (first round champ)...that first round champ could go 0-7 the 6-1 team go 6-1 again and the second round won by a team that went 0-7 in the first round.....then the two champs would play for seeding....and could match 7-7 teams playing while a 12-2 team stayed home.

I thought we were supposed to keep this CLEAN. I don't think sexual prowess should determine the winner. Just my opinion.;)

FYI

Big Sandy was unbeaten from 1973-1975, winning state championships each year

their only non-win was to Celina

the next year they set the national record for points in a season (824, since been passed) and they did it in 14 games

celina lost 15-13 to Groom in the 75 semifinals, preventing a rematch

so i'll take it!

so i'll take it! What is the highest PPG for a team during an entire season in HS football? If you know that is.....
