i threw together a site for all the Gatesville Hornet fans around the web a few nights ago. Im still adding info and pics on the site. I was a 97 graduate from gatesville and my brother is a senior now. After having dissappointing seasons over the past several years, we show a lot of improvement this year and should make a good run at making the playoffs .

Let me tell you a bit about Gatesville. Last year we visited Gatesville when Liberty Hill played them. Although in the second half of the game was a rout I want to talk about the Gatesville hospitality.
Its a 3A school but as we spent the night broadcasting the game from the press box, the folks up there were awesome. They have what we refer to a woman called the press box princess. She checked on every person in the press box and asked if we needed anything. This went on several times throughout the game. The food they provided was amazing. I have been in dozens and dozens of press boxes (3a to 5a) but without a doubt they were the best at food and hospitality. I would love to make it back one day to call a game. All the folks up there were great.
They didnt have the best physical press box to call a game but definately best at everything else.

Second best was Temple IMO.

Worst - Giddings. Absolutely awful all away around. I wish no one to have to call a game there.

BTW, I'm really liking the Uni's. They look nice. I always thought black and yellow/gold was a cool Color for a football team to wear.
