what polls are you talking about? Coaches, newspapers, and magazine polls are a stupid waste of time.

I agree in high school football but unfortunately in Division 1 football they do and will do so till we have a real playoff system. Don't forget what happened to Auburn a few years ago that has happened to several teams. And because of polls we have had a team in the BCS Championship game the past two seasons that didn't belong there and last year had a two loss team win it all.

Yes, but D1-A football is the exception because they refuse to pull their heads out of their collective you-know-wheres and have a playoff like just about every other high school, collegiate and professional entity out there.

You can't put a team in the title game just because they're undefeated. It matters who you beat and how tough a schedule you played. A team going through the Big XII or SEC with one loss plays a much tougher schedule than most teams from other conferences.
