I really like Steve Irwin. He's one of a kind, when it comes to getting up close and personal with dangerous snakes, gators, crocodiles and insects. Steve's a passionate defender of all living animals. Therefore I can't imagine what he was thinking. He jumps into the water all the time after crocodiles and seems to feel he can't be hurt. Maybe the public's outrage will make him think before doing such a dangerous act again.

What an idiot!!!! I can't believe he would put his child in danger like that. Where's the Mom and I wonder what her position on this is?

I don't think anything is wrong w/ that. He knows what he's doing and is trying to get his kid used to being around crocs.

I think this is very bad judgement on his part. A croc is a little more unpredictable than a gator...I think everyone that I know that hunts, or has hunted gators, can tell of a time when one responded in a very unpredictable way!

Remember...the Dad knows what he is doing? Yeah right...stupid decision...he put his child in danger and that is totally wrong...nothing makes it right.

Apparently, the Aussie Government agrees with you, Kaorder. I saw on the news the other night that they intend on filing charges against him over this incident. He definitely blew it this time.

I've always liked Steve the Crock Hunter myself but what he did was probably just as bad or worse than Michael Jackson dangling his child off that balcony. I know everyone probably regrets something they've done that has put their children in harms way at one time or another but with all those bystanders around there I can't believe somebody didn't tell those two what idiots they were. I'm sure he's learned his lesson. Thank god nobody was hurt
