Just switched from the A&M/Miami game (halftime) and went to 206 which is our ESPN channel and it's blackouted out and says "this channel is not available in your viewing area" What's that all about? any idea?

All coverages really. Your normal ESPN should get the other game

that's what we thought too = not a huge big deal but we just wondered what was going on - the person at DirectTV was totally useless...... I finally just said forget it and hung up...... I could understand if the A&M game was on ABC but that's not even the game on ESPN (or supposed to be, I have no idea what's on lol)

The game was on ESPN alternate channel

Happens alot during the year. If you have sports channels always check their alternate channels, most people dont know about them. I have been called a liar more than once when I have watched games othe people thought were blacked out or not on all together.

I have the all everything pack withe the extra sports channels on dish network. Off the top of my head I think that includes like 20 alternates.

It was blocked because of it being a regional game. We would get the same a few years ago. I know that we've watched "regional" games on there, but they were always sold out at the time. Maybe with as many empty seats as there were today, that's the reason?

I don't think they have the sell out rule like NFL.

Maybe not, I've just noticed it being blocked at weird times.
