One of those 2 losses was Giddings losing a close game to #1 Liberty Hill. Not too bad for this district.

The other loss was LG to a very good 4a Lockhart now 4-0 and a likely playoff team in d17 4a. This is a seriously competitive district. Can you say tie breaker?;)

This has nothing to do with football... but for a change I decided to take a different route back to Houston from Austin this morning and went down 183 through Lockhart and Luling to I-10 instead of going down 71.

Beautiful countryside but 71 is still definitely a quicker drive.

There was fog for close to 100 miles of the drive back as well during which I came close to having to pull over and wait for it to burn off

It's not really that relavent or anything, but what are some of the other district records that are close to this record? Are there any?

Once again, doesn't tell much, but it does tell a little when all the teams in a district are winning. Even the bottom of this district will demand focus and intensity from teams at the top, OR ELSE.

I will agree with that in the way of competitiveness, but that doesn't mean by any means that a EXTRA long playoff run will come from either.

I can just about Guarantee you that Wylie and B'Wood will go ATLEAST 2-3 rounds each...

So, yea...

yep, this district is stacked! no free passes for anyone. unbelievable turn around for the brahmas. they'll be out for Sealy's soul on Halloween, but first they both must play Giddings. dang, that home page is pretty sweet. everyone's schedule is there.

giddings & smithville both scored 34/35 on wharton, but the smithville d did allow one more td.

brutal district games.

I definitely wouldn't define Lockhart as a good 4a team, they had a lot of trouble with Gonzales did they not? they only won by a touchdown...

Thye are 4-0 now and may end up winning their district. If not they will likely make the play offs. They should end up 3-2 or better in district. Any legitimate 4a play off team is tough competition for a 3a team. Lockhart is another team that improves weekly.

here is their schedule:

Sep. 5, 2008 GONZALES W 34-26
