How many yards rushing does liberty hill have as a team this year?

Game Rushes Yards Average Passes Completions Yards
Giddings 39/ 310/ 7.9/ 2/ 1/ 31
Wylie 49/ 312/ 6.4/ 0/ 0/ 0
Manor 51/ 588/ 11.5/ 0/ 0/ 0
BWood 54 / 464/ 8.6/ 2/ 2/ 73

Totals 193/ 1674/ 8.7/ 4/ 3/ 104

I look for these numbers increase district competition begins. LH has played the toughest part of their schedule. Could LH average 10 yards per carry by the end of district play??? What do you think?

Definitely. It's down hill from here on out for LH...till play offs. Of course its possible they lose one of the remaining 6 games (any given night, right?), but they are playing decidely weaker teams from here on out. 10 yds a carry is definitely within reach, though I would think injuries are what the coaches are probably most concerned with.

I think injuries may be a concern, but with as many kids as we had with rolled/high sprained ankles against Manor, and a couple others missing a week or two for various things, I'm hoping the worst of the injury bug is behind us! One should be completely ready to go against Burnet (was to be starting center, not sure if that's where he'll be or not). He's missed the season so far. Another won't be back any time soon, if at all after ACL (and maybe MCL) injury in our last scrimmage. We've had no less than 5, and sometimes 9, kids with rushing yards in games. I think it will definitely help with having several with experience, just "in case".

What's in the water down that way?

Or is it just that you all run that throwback Slot T offense better than it ever has been in football history?

We would have loved a shot at LH again in Reg. season, after splitting the first 2 times.

Where do you get your stats? I get mine from Austin American Statesman and they have slightly different numbers. We all know they are not the most accurate. Just curious where else I can find them.

Oh, gotcha! I know someone on the coaching staff inputs stats directly into the thsca site, and they show the same per game stats as the Statesman.

I was just wondering. I don't trust AAS at all. According to the online write up of the game (not sure if this made it to print or not) they have Brownwood as a 4a team. Saying.....

"The Class 4A Lions brought a bigger team into Friday's showdown, as well as a top quarterback. It was a new challenge, but not one the Panthers couldn't handle. "

It would be nice if they could get an editor or hire someone that knows anything about high school football. This is just the typical statesman bone headed writing.
