Is Gonzales playing bad enough to not make the playoffs? That would put Cureo vs. Wharton in the first round. What are the odds of this scenario playing out?

The odds are good with Halletsville and Luling fighting for the third spot and Goliad being a good spoiler team...

No, Edna's in district 28 with Wharton, Rice, Sweeny, Palacios and Needville (think that's it anyhoo)...

That's mean either Cuero or Yoakum is 1st, the other second then Hallettsville, Luling or Gonzo...

Thanks!! I'm a 38 year old guy running a business office. I've lived here since I was a few weeks old and I really don't think I've been out of the Free State of Dewitt and Lavaca counties. Yoakum has been good to me. WaHoo! :p

Really? Where is the business office?

Good to have Yoakum folks on here to keep us Cuero folks in line...

Hey underware, my people settled in Sweethome and Yoakum in the 1850's when they got off the boat in Indanola. Thats the old homeland for me. Some of the familys still live there but I havent met any of them.

In region 4 I see three teams that contend for the regional title: Burnet (of course); Cuero and Wharton. I think Gonzales will come in 4th in district behind Yoakum, Cuero and Luling in that order, sending Cuero to DI. If Cuero plays Wharten in the first round I give Cuero the nod, they are a well coached and disciplined team. wink

I will have to with wharton this one: i watched them play navasota and they could have very easily beaten the rattlers.Wharton had dropped a few touchdowns passes which could had easily changed the momentum in that game.Wharton35 and Cuero 21 first round. :D

It's always 'coulda' for Wharton, though...

Wharton makes too many mistakes, which goes along with team-effort...

There is no excuse for a team with that talent (the best in 3A), size (biggest in 3A) and speed (pretty close to the fastest in 3A) to be 2-3...

And NO, I'm not saying Cuero would win, just saying they should have beaten Nava-Soda-Pop!

hey guys we have not even played the first dist. game. funny things happen in 273a. there allways a nite you dont expect. there are 5 teams with good chances for playoffs. all 5 had there bad game and that may be out of the way. wet field tomorrow nite so anything can happen.
just looking at non-dist. i would rate cuero the favorite . that leaves 4 teams will a good shot at the other two spots and goliad the spoiler.
