I'm glad to see they've improved the Cotton Bowl. Hopefully PV-Grambling and UT-OU will continue to be there for many years to come.

I was at the Mizzou vs. Arkansas game last year and there was so much construction. It was a mess. Glad to see things have shaped up.

There used to be a lot of HS games played there when the field was artifical turf. It'd be nice to see high schools go there again, but it's unlikely to happen.

I hope so too! You probably aren't though. With Jerry's World opening next year as well as TMS and it's ridiculous amount of seating I can see the game leaving Fair Park in the near future for a venue such as those two that can make far more money off the game.

This quote is awesome!

Although he was never scheduled to play (except in 1985, when he was), Ted Nugent showed up every year and joined in

Ted is one with his guitar which is a magnificent species

I know it's there through at least 2012. That's what the agreement goes through at least. After that, who knows? Lots of talk about moving it to the new Cowboys stadium. At least there was when the schools were threatening to leave the Cotton Bowl because of it's age and deterioration.

I must say that the City of Dallas did something right. That stadium looks 100 times better. I hope they continue the TX/OU game there for many years and continue to add more games to the Cotton Bowl.
