View Full Version : Your Team's Last SRO Game?

What was your team's last SRO(Standing Room Only) game?

For the Bulls, I'm going to say the 2001 Bridgeport-Decatur game at Decatur---in the rain. Most of our playoff games move to large stadiums, but we still bring a bunch.

UT would have to play at Mustang Bowl for it to literally be SRO.:D

The closest I can remember it to being totally packed was in
1990. It was a playoff game against Snyder.

Snyder won but only because they cheated...:(

I know you have a picture of the score board but do you have
any of the stands?

   Looking back at pictures it appears the West side was SRO, the East side was lacking some people.

Let's see, .................................................. ..............Pretty much last home game at least until tomarrow night. Just kidding around a little. But the truth be known, every home game is pretty much standing room only for the Wylie fans on the Wylie side. Home side holds around 6000+ people and it's always packed like sardines with several hundred people standing around the fence on the north side all the way to the concession stand. Visitors side is rarely completely full, but I expect there to be a couple of district games this year where they too might have to stand (Snyder and Brownwood). Last year Clyde filled up our visitors side:thumbsup:

I was there...the Russians were in a little set of bleachers in the end zone.

Hmm...Let's see. I would say it would've been when we still played the South Dallas Super Bowl at Pleasant Grove. We've gotten Kincaide (Seats 15k and we've gotten it to around 85-90%) pretty close to full though since the game moved down there in 2005. The game against SOC in 2005 (The combined SOC and Hutch players who refused to attend Madison) that was the first game in Kincaide's history was just about filled to capacity.

Other than that I can usually show up 10-15 minutes before kickoff for any regular season or playoff game and sit at the 50 as there is usually only 400-500 people at most games.

were you at the Forney-Everman game in 2002? or 2001? whichever one was at Pennington!

Toughest game I ever tried to attend was a latter 80's (?)playoff game between Southlake Carroll and Vernon at Pennington Field. You couldn't stick a broomstraw in between fans, and people were standing on anything horizontal. I got turned away before getting in--- they quit admitting people to the stadium.

the Forney-Everman game was packed.....not a seat available...they allowed hundreds onto the field to stand from the 25 down the sideline, around the endzone and back down to the 25 on both ends. There were people also sitting on the concrete wall down on the end opposite the scoreboard.

For West I would have to say back in the 70's although I don't remember the exact year but we were 2A. McGregor vs. West in the final game of the regular season in West on a cold, and snowy night! McGregor was 9-0 and ranked in the top 10, and West was 9-0. West put a beat down like you would not imagine on McGregor, and no playoffs to boot.

I was there.:D I may have been one of the last people allowed in the gate. They told me we were going to have to stand in a roped off area at the end of the stadium. As I was walking in I over heard the AD in charge tell the event staff to let those people move to behind the endzones. I ended up literally almost leaning up against the goal post. What an awesome atmosphere:)

I'd like to see Stratford play sometime in a game up that way. Preferably in November. I'd bet it'd be fun to be at a game up in the Panhandle when it's snowing in November or December.

In 2006 when Tatum came to town. The capacity for Buckeye Stadium is about 5000 or so. There were about 8000 in attendance, if I remember correctly. I have never seen that many people packed into such a small area before in my life.
