The Navasota Rattler varsity football team is currently looking for a game versus any 2A, 3A, or 4A opponent. The date we have open is October 3rd. Due to Hurricane Ike and the loss of two home games, we would like for this makeup game to be played in Navasota. Please contact Coach Lee Fedora at 936-825-5257 to schedule a game. Thanks.

For those who don't know where Navasota, Texas is. It is 20 miles south of College Station or about 80 miles northwest of Houston.

We were suppose to be open October 3rd but Rusk rescheduled with us on that night it would of been nice to take on the Rattlers.

Most teams won't give up the bye week for a meaningless game

Haven't spoken to anyone, but would be surprised if a Navasoto-Sealy match-up would take place the week before district play. It would be a big emotional game and most coaches just wouldn't take a chance at getting their players banged up so close to district. But we'll see.

Thinking Sealy is out. Just like what Scotty said. Not sure Sealy is interested in playing us right before they open district with Giddings.

On top of that, most have not had a game cancelled, therefore, they will not be able to schedule an 11th game.

I've heard the Cuero Gobblers' name bring thrown around as a possibility. I hear that would be a heck of a ball game....

Wow, would the Gobblers come all the way to Navasota?....Or would it be a mutual meeting...I remember way back when (88 or 89) Navasota played there, lost 7-8; ...That was a long drive..The next year we won 52-6.

We welcome the Cuero Gobblers back to Grimes County.

Good. Will be a good matchup. I just started a new job at Schlumberger Oilfield Services at the Bryan yard, so I am hoping to get back from the fields early enough on Fridays to make the games. Only thing that stinks is that I have to miss the Rockdale and Taylor games while I am at driving school in Oklahoma.

At least the money is good!

No doubt about that. Rockdale is looking pretty salty this year. I should have left straight from the yard to Waco last night!
