Arl Heights got enough weapons to give Celina a game?

Think this is going to be a very good game. Although I have a hard time thinking that Celina will lose two in a row.

Almost all of the Ft Worth teams have talent but are not very good. Brownwood used to play alot of those teams the first round or 2 of the playoffs. Almost always an easy win. Celina rolls.

I expect another tough game this week and next. We could lose both if we don't play well. But, guess what? Since "the streak" is over, other than an unusual number of losses in one season, it really doesn't mean anything. We will still be 0-0 in District, and playing these teams will improve us more than the Lytle's of the world.

This is definitely a more difficult non-district schedule than we have played the last several years. Combine that with a team that is not quite as good YET, mostly because of good but inexperienced players on both OL, DL and at QB. Because of the Lytle debacle, Dfield was in reality only their 2nd game. We could still reach our goal, but in a different fashion. Instead of steamrolling to the Semi's, maybe we lose a couple early to tough teams, start improving, jell late, and still get where we want to go.

That's what I'm hoping anyway.:)

dainegerfield was good but celina did not show up until the 2nd half. They held dainegerfield to 24 total yards in the 2nd half. This team is young and will learn from this. You have to come and play 4qtrs every friday and dont turn the ball over 4 times.Dainegerfield was just better that night.

Well this is going to be the first game I have missed in a while.

And coming off of the game last week, I wish I had not commited to missing it.

It will be interesting to hear how the Bobcats respond.

All I know it this ... the Bobcat offense had better get rolling with out mistakes on their first possession ... and ... stay mistake free.

I hope the players are not too wound up and stay loose. ;)

... But the city (Fort Worth) is top-heavy in football quality. The district schedule does not do enough to test the eventual playoff teams week to week.

Which is why Friday night’s game between Arlington Heights and Celina at Celina is important. It is a legitimate proving ground for Heights, which has emerged as a District 7-4A championship contender. Celina, an eight-time state champion, had not lost a game at home in 10 years until last week.

"There is not a better football community in America," Heights coach Steve Hale said. "I asked for that. I wanted our kids to get a taste, and our fans." ...

Heights expects RB Wright back
Senior running back Adonnys Wright will be ready to play Friday when Fort Worth Arlington Heights visits Celina, coach Steve Hale said. Wright did not play in last week’s victory against Paschal because of a sprained ankle. Anthony Davenport rushed for 161 yards and two touchdowns in his place. "He’s also a good running back," Hale said of Davenport. "We feel like we’ve got some depth over there. But we’ve got a lot of kids making plays."

That would be a good bet. Celina doesnt have the guts for a good fight anymore. That short qb cant throw and that defense is weak to say the least. Sure, they can crowd the line, but they cant tackle. At least not someone that has skills. DF has mucho skill. Cant wait till celina is done. I bet they dont even make the playoffs. be lucky to finish the season. they should just quit and start practicing basketball or table tennis.

I'd guess Celina probably wins this one by at least 3 or 4 TD's. AH will probably finish 4th or possibly 5th in their district. They haven't really played a good team yet among the three they've beaten. This game should be overwith early in the third.

im thinking not. I think that AH will make this a game and if Celina wins, it will not be by much in my opinion.

I wish I could have seen the game. Is everything now in order in Bobcat central?

Well it is more hopeful. Execution was crisp at times. Defense was pretty solid against a well coached offense. They had a couple of really well designed plays that just were hard to recognize till it was too late. We were throwing the ball better tonight. All in all it was better than average game but still lots of work to do.

We played without #22 and #1 tonight. We don't need to get any more banged up!

Well I was aware of those, I was wanting to make sure that Celina did not go further in debt to the injury bank.

Don't think we have any injuries. A lot of the guys left it all out there. I was pleased. Penalties except for "Chop Blocks" Called by White Hat. :nerd: Kao was right that team was really a good sound team. Good job cats.

I had the understanding that 22 will be back for district play. And I do not know about 1.

So it sounds like #10 had a little more time to toss the pig skin?

Yes, Cody did have a LITTLE more time back there. Still should roll out more with him as our pass plays just dont develop quick enough.

The O line was much better tonight. Hand the D on its heels in the 2nd.

Except for a couple of big runs we shut down their run game.

#10 looked pretty sharp and he does look better on the rollouts !
Also thought the O Line looked much improved and the future looks pretty good for #70.

I want to say way to go Bobcats and coaching staff, we looked much better. Roos for a freshman did one heck of a job. That boy with a little more time under his belt is gonna be a very good lineman. I saw Roos on a number of plays pancack the DT and i also saw him blow some guys off the ball great addition. Dont want to forget about the other freshman boy that came up this week aswell Jamarque had some good solid tough runs. Ladies and gentleman the bobcats are starting to look pretty salty.
