See link below. Feel free to express your opionions whether in agreement or not. No way the Beatles' song Hey Jude should have been omitted from this list for 1968 even though Sitting on the Dock of the Bay is a great song.

Below is the Bellnotes 1958 hit I've Had It. This was their only hit record making them a one-hit wonder but what a great song anyway. The comments aren't out of order yet so let's keep hoping they stay in line so the link won't have to be removed. I don't know why some people post bad posts and ruin it for everyone else or why You Tube doesn't police better. Oh well.

Yeah, Phil I agree that Hey Jude is one of my alltime favs, but so is Sitting on the Dock of the Bay. IMO--1966-1969 delivered the best music of all time. There were so many awesome songs during those "Viet Nam" years. I've got probably 350 songs on my ipod, and I'll bet that half of them were recorded during those years. Two great movie soundtracks "Forrest Gump" and "The Big Chill" all came from that era. I get downright emotional about the music during that time. Probably due to those being some of the most fun and happiest years of my life----Jr. High at Lincoln Jr. High in Abilene.:)

Those were great fun years. It's too bad we had to have the Vietnam War then.
