- Open over Caldwell (so Giddings can breathe a sigh of relief - why, I'm still trying to figure out)
- Cameron over Lorena by 19
- Crockett over Madisonville by 13
- Bellville over Navasota by 15 (two good teams, but Henderson got blasted after losing to Snakes by one, and Bellville beat a 4A Livingston team that is much stronger, IMO, than a decent Henderson squad.)
- Midland Christian over Rockdale by 2 (Tigers are improved, but don't underestimate those obscure private schools)
- Taylor over Llano by 7

Caldwell is dangerous with rest.
Cameron will do their worst to make a good game out of this one. Yoe by 6.
Madisonville 43, Crockett 42 (OT).
Navasota 42, Bellville 27. Mueller is good, but Henderson's Jenkins was absolutely dead accurate and avoided pressure all night long against Navasota's zone. One thing you should learn is that comparing common opponents, even if the only thing in common is classification, will almost always get you nowhere. I think people will soon understand how powerful Navasota's offense is. The only thing that could hurt this game is lack of practice for the Rattlers.

Taylor over Llano by 7 is the one thing we can agree on.
