I remember that game. It was held in Grosebeck on turf. It was the 2nd time Rockdale played Marlin that year. Early in the year Marlin beat Rockdale 20-0 in Marlin. I think in the rematch in round 2 of the playoffs the Tigers beat Marlin 14-6 scoring on a pass late in the 4th to win.

The Tigers lost in round 3 of the playoffs to eventual state champions Newton in Huntsville at Bowers Stadium. I think Newton's game with Rockdale was the closest game they had that year. I remember that Newton was loaded with athletes.

Man that seems like last week, not 10 yrs ago..........
