What he did: Smith rushed for 250 yards in a 36-29 win over McKinney North to help Forney to its first 3-0 start since 2001.

The stats: Smith carried 24 times for 250 yards and touchdowns of 4 and 22 yards. He also had one reception for 31 yards.
Who is he? A 5-9, 183-pound senior running back.
He said it: "I watched film on them [McKinney North] and studied their defense. And my offensive line blocked well. They came off the ball and made some holes for me."
Coach said it: "He's just piling up yards and busting through tackles. He's so much stronger this year than he has been. His hips and arm strength are much better and he's able to run through a lot of arm tackles." _ Kevin Rush.
Did you know? The coaching staff nicknamed him "Cricket" because he's always chirping at them. ... Smith's favorite class is P.E. Partners where he assists special needs students. ... He runs sprints and relays on the track team. ... Smith's favorite video game is Madden '09 and his favorite running back is Barry Sanders.
