Both the Eagles and the Cowboys looked good in Wk 1, but I think Da 'Boys have got it together and will whip those dirty birds by 10 or more.

Eagles looked good against an awful Rams team. Dallas looked good against a playoff calibur team.

I hope Westbrook gets 2 touchdowns or a touchdown and 100 yards rushing/50 yards receiving

Despite all the injuries Donovan McNabb is still more dangerous than Romo, Eagles by 3.

Not on my birthday. Rattle him early and he will fall to pieces. Cowboys by 10.

I think this game comes down to a match of wits between 2 of the league's best co-ordinators---Jim Johnson for the Eagles, and Jason Garrett for the Cowboys. He who guesses wrong the most--- loses, IMO.

He has to get close to a receiver to do that. He isn't fast enough to cover passes, period. Every pass up the middle that scores, it's him that got burned.

yeah yeah how bout them cowboys but the real question is how bout them eagles....no one can underestimate them anymore and this was an awesome shootout game that the home team should have won...giants eagles cowboys...u can coin flip for that division title and i would be fine with it...its going to be crazy..one thing i did notice though is that with all the hype around that dallas defense with the addition of pac man they looked horrible...desean jackson made pac man look like a rookie...cant wait till they play again in philly i think it will be a different result

one good thing that happened was that i won 200$ because i had the eagles +7

Way to go Cowboys!

The one thing bad was losing Safety Roy Williams for possible three weeks due to a broken forearm. Bad news indeed to lose one of the greatest safeties in pro football. :(

Did you all know that Ben Franklin lived most of his life in Philadelphia. Also the Liberty Bell is in Philadelphia.

I wish it was sooner because the last game of the year a lot of times is watered down due to some teams already having clinched or already being out of it. But lets say they met with the divison title on the line last game of the year in Philly that would be a crazy atmosphere and great game.

Who's been underestimating the Eagles? A lot of "experts" had them as pre-season Super Bowl picks.

The Cowboys came away with this one, and all Cowboy fans are happy for the victory, but glad that this one is behind us.

I think the story of this game was McNabb. He was "Superman" and played a tremendous game, but made critical errors which probably cost the Eagles the game:

---Botched hand-off to Westbrook which gave the Cowboys a possession which they converted to a score.

---Threw short or long to wide-open receivers on several 3rd downs, sometimes when not even pressured, which gave the Cowboys the ball back. This was the McNabb of old.

I like and respect Donovan McNabb, but he seems to have an accuracy problem sooner or later, and throws bad passes for no reason several times in games---just like Favre seems to do sometimes.

---Westbrook is simply amazing. One of the top players in the NFL.

--- The Dallas pass-rush(?) was handled all night by the Philly line-especially the Dallas blitzers.

The Dallas "D" had better learn to take their chances and cover receivers tighter---McNabb threw underneath the coverage at will because all of the Dallas defenders seemed afraid to jump routes because they were afraid of being blown by. The Philly secondary had no such strategy---they hit receivers just as the ball arrived or batted passes down and punished the Dallas receivers with good tackeling. They got burned by T.O. and Witten deep, but never spotted the Cowboys the underneath routes.

I wonder why Dallas didn't use Felix Jones on all kick returns? Pac Man didn't show me a lot. Maybe they were afraid of getting him hurt. I would like to have seen him in the backfield a little earlier in the game, but Barber delivered the hard yards when needed.

I disagree about one thing Bul..I don think Philly handled the pass rush..Dallas had 4 sacks and honestly at least 4 or 5 other times that McNabb avoided the sack..Ellis was in the backfield all game

I stand corrected TXB--I didn't realize the Cowboys had 4 sacks---I think I was looking for the quick kind of overwhelming bull rush sacks that everyone likes to see and some were the chase-him-down-eventually variety due to good coverage.

and that is a main reason IMO Dallas secondary really did not play bad

Alot of times McNabb got big plays by moving around..The line would pressure he would escape and keep the play alive and that point u cannot ask the secondary to cover for 5-8 seconds

Also in the second half McNabb was 11 for 18..but for just a 100 yards..Dallas kept it in front of them

I wish they played more press coverage, but their bend dont break menatlity forced Philly to kick 2 fgs early

Take away the touchdown on the Romo fumble...and the short field he gave Philly with his int and The Cowboy D played ok, not great, but ok

The ONE thing this D does not do well is force turnovers

Aside from one bad throw and a fumble in the endzone, Dallas looked really good on offense for the second straight week. Philly kept some pressure on Dallas and had some success in stopping the Cowboys running game. There is no doubting that McNabb is 100% healthy for the first time in a long time. Dallas got to him several times and could have had him a couple more, but he just his feet moving and found ways to keep the play alive. My only complaint with Dallas right now are the penalties. Defensive penalties are leading to too many points for the opposition. Wade Phillips had better jump there butts this week because they are in for another shootout next week in Green Bay.

Happy Birthday to me. :D I told yall they were gonna win.

I think you are exactly right.

The way I see this game was that tons of things went against the Cowboys...bad PI call, weird fumble by Romo, McNabb playing out of his mind...yet they still were able to win the game.

I've seen several national types questioning Dallas' resolve or whether they are tough. I really don't know how they could say those things. You telling me Whitten isn't tough? Romo? Barber? That OL? Zach Thomas?

I think Dallas' defense will get better and better as the year goes on. I think Dallas has a chance to be scary good if they stay healthy.

Mac....I admit that I thought when Wade Phillips came here the Dallas "D" was going to be made to be much more aggressive and blitz more from everywhere like Philly does. It is hard to watch "bend but don't break" "D". Time will tell---I don't care what they run as long as they go past the first playoff game and get to the Super Bowl.

expect a different result in philly at the end of the year when the division title is up for grabs...the giants eagles or cowboys can win that division...there is no clear cut winner even though most of u homers think the cowboys are a lock...and remember once again this year with all the talent and hype on defense there is no D in Dallas

lol i already knew that but my point is that with the giants eagles and cowboys every team could end up splitting because home field is big in those games and im saying i cant wait till they play in philly

I thought the d played just fine missing the #1 CB and having to play just 1 vet, a rookie and someone who has played 1 games in the last 650 days

Agreed, they settled down in the 2nd half and held McNabb to 100 yards passing and philly to just 1 TD.

Philly got pretty lucky too. A gift of a td on a bad interferrance call that should have been called on the receiver, and holding on every other play that wasn't called.

Heck Keith, Romo even spotted them a td and still beat them.:D

Are you serious? Guess you see what you want to see. I agree that the Eagles will probably get them next game though, provided McNabb stays healthy all year. That is a tall task.

That pretty much evened things out on that count. the very visible holding call on the Westbrook td in front of the ref was down right sad.

you do realize that they changed the face mask rule right? you are allowed to grab the face mask as long as u let go asap and the only calls that are made are the blatant ones that warrant a 15 yard penalty. so missed face mask calls? nope rule change.

Overall it was a great game, well worth the money I paid to attend.. I can't really make to many excuses, just a good game by both teams.. I know its way too early to make this prediction, but I think this might have been the preview of the NFC conference championship game

Well, in that case, I would rather the Cowboys lose that finale at Philidelphia. Last year, they owned the Giants in the regular season. We all know how that turned out.
