After the 1935 season TCU played LSU in the Sugar Bowl.

TCU had lost only one game during the season and that was to SMU for the National Championship. They had an 11-1 record going into the Bowl Game. They had a great offense led by the legendary QB Sammy Baugh who went on to star in pro football.

LSU had a great season at 9 - 1 losing only its' first game of the year to Rice 10 - 7. Rice went on to lose only 3 games during its' season with 2 of them being to SMU and TCU.

These two great offensive teams played in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1, 1936 with TCU winning 3 - 2.
