Rockdale moves on to 3-0 with a win over a very talented Marlin team 35-23. I expect that Marlin makes a playoff run this year in 2A. Lots of athletes and a pretty good defense to go with it...

Rockdale beat Marlin by two fewer points than Connally beat Marlin. Interesting.

So much for the theory that Caldwell's "athleticism" couldn't match Connally, huh?

Marlin is improving from each week. I saw them play both Week 0 and week 1 games and they are improving each week. Last night their 6'3" 215 "Freshman" running back played for the first time and he could be one that make folks forget who Adrian Pederson was in Texas High School football. Huge talent but just needs experience and avoid injuries.....

I expect Caldwell to improve quickly with the kids they have this season. They lost many kids last year so it'll take a few games to get rolling and looks like they are there.....
