great game by smithville, still alot of improvment needed but this group has improved everyweek , i have seen a new playmaker emerge as a threat every week, belive this was the first time playing the spread this season and played solid d forcing numerous t.o's, good game now on to halletsville, and to add being a thursday game the stands were jammed pack, even saw a little tail gate set up, the fever seems to be catching on fast.

umm nope, defeated yoakum and wiemer last seasons and am thinking one more but it cant come to mind, 2-8 for sure possibly 3-7

Last year Tigers only won 2 games; however, they were in alot of the ball games.. Think they were leading Navasota into the 3rd quarter.. Even up with Bellville at the half.. Close with LG.. Close with Caldwell.. Senior group were in 8th grade when McQueen/Wiley came to Smithville.. Good coaching staff and the kids are buying into what "W" and rest of staff are teaching them..

Well, Caldwell won last year 49-14 but the Tigers certainly had some individual talent and played with a lot of heart. I knew they'd surface as a contender this year. Hope Floats, indeed.

Smithville play a good Lexington Team (34-7) and won a an improving Wharton team (that Play well againt Giddings) and beat them (35-21)
