Alvarado

Just wondering if Alvarado is for real after beating Midway and Robinson? They have another big 4A this week at Boswell.

Alvarado is a solid AAA team. Looks to be well coached, and fairly young. The Jr. tailback is for real, O-line tough, QB makes good decisions and looks like a leader. Defense is quick, had some problems vs. the pass against Robinson, but overall the Indians should fare well in AAA.

Thanks for the reply. I was surprised to see them jump out to a 28-0 lead last week. The quarterback and running back make them go - I just hope they don't run the running back into the ground before district. He's been carrying the ball a lot. The quarterback was last year's running back so I imagine, in time, he'll start running more.

The kids from Alvarado have been playing a rough schedule for yrs now. Although they were subvarsity, they were still playing the Evermans, Aledos, Stephenvilles of the football world.
