***Evacuations begin in Brazoria Co.***

Saw on the news this morning and also heard on the radio, portions of Brazoria county are being evacuated starting this morning. I guess the thought process is...."if the storm goes southwest of us, we'll get the "dirty" side of the storm..i.e. tornadoes, etc.

appears to be limited to the coastal areas at this point....i.e. Surfside, Freeport, etc. Moving inland, the evacuation is voluntary at this point. I suspect they fear storm surge and tornadoes.

Yep, zip code 77541 is being evacuated. All others are voluntary for now.
