As the latest storm update shows Ike headed closer and closer to Houston I very well may not have electricity from Friday night until who knows when. Let me know any results that have occurred from games played early and I'll add them on.

The only scores I've heard so far are from the Giddings-Wharton game and the Robstown-RF game

At one point, the score was tied at 19 early in the 3rd. EE scores and goes up 25-19, PI then drives and stalls but a great punt pins EE down at their own 2 yard line......until EE QB scores on a 98-yd QB keeper that broke the game open, gave all the momentum to EE.

Edcouch-Elsa is definitely going to be a team to watch in the 4A ranks. Port Isabel played very well too tonight despite the loss, but they may have had a much bigger loss.....possibly for the season. Joe Vega, the super Jr. RB went down with a suspected knee injury. PI's Sr. RB Diego Garcia already has a broken hand as well. PI down to their 3rd RB now.

I was a little let down with the number of fumbles my Kats had this game...in the red zone alone we had 4-5 I lost track of how many possessions we lost because of it, most were committed in the first half. Second half the boys settled back down and got working well.

Dustin Alejo had another great game recieving and had a huge punt return for a touchdown I was also pleased with sophomore Skylar Janes great game recieving for this kid. We're still committing too many errors on offense but the defense had a better outing this game. If not for the mental mistakes this game could of been a huge blowout.

I didn't get to watch how it started but with less than a minute left in the game we were on the ~15 yard line about to score then the boys started pushing each other and wanting to start a fight...next play we kneeled the ball and closed the game up.

congrats to your boys on the hard fought game...they were announcing your score at our game, I was rooting for yall. The score definitely doesn't show how close this game really was. Despite the record PI is definitely someone to watchout for come district time.
