Then that would mean that Dexter and Daymond would be "no-go's."

Their dad will have them in church rather than at the game. If you guys remember, Dexter was out at church in the Sealy game last year.

Would be a BIG blow for the Necks if they couldn't play.

I thought the UIL only allowed games to be played Thurs-Sat.

Are we supposed to know who Dexter and Daymond are?

I'm guessing they are not only brothers but two of the better players on
the team.

WC = West Columbia

Dexter and Daymond are brothers. They are our 2 KR and Daymond got about half the snaps at QB last week along with Raley and Dexter is our main RB. He had 9 carries for 101 yds and an TD. Dexter also plays every snap on defense.

I don't remember all the specifics, but in Oct 1998, after the "big flood of 98" Cuero played Luling in Cuero on a Monday night. Not sure if we had to get some kind of waiver or what the deal was but we did play:) Then we played the next team on the following Saturday.

Pretty sure the only rule is games have to be 5 days apart.

In 2005 Calallen played Kingsville on a Monday night due to Hurricane Rita.

Does the church have a lot of students? Think if the team has a lot of fan support in the church they could reschedule it for earlier.

I don't know about individual students, but this decision comes from the dad. He will NOT allow his kids to miss church. Now if the church was to reschedule their thing, which is 7-8 pm, then they could most likely play, but they won't do that for 2 players.

They might do it, for the community though.

But what's the likelihood of WC playing on Wednesday?

I was planning on going to the game.

But.

I guess I'll be missing it, unless UH cancels class thursday.

chances are good game will be on Wednesday... (depending on Ike)

Not good timing, the injury bug has bitten HARD during the last 2 days of practice...

you're talking about moving CHURCH for FOOTBALL.....priorities a little messed up?

I think the messed up priorities in this case would be from the schedulers, not the kids. Why would you ever schedule a game on a night when there is church? Knowing that some families see that as top priority?

I know Necks Fan has a lot of "pull" but I'm pretty sure he is not going to be able to arrange this one... and for the record, it was not Necks Fan who suggested "moving church"...

Played the next team on a Saturday because of a rule where you can't play your next game within 4 days of the last one.

BRAZOSPORT ISD has closed its doors, I would guess Sweeny, West Columbia, Angleton will follow suit soon after.

question... If a school is closed during the week can there still be a game? or how does that work

Yes. You don't have to have school the day of a game to play. I think the players who have to be in attendance on the most recent day school was in session though to be eligible
