I'm curious too. How did the Pirstes do this past weekend @ the Poteet Tournament? Does anyone know? I know tonight they play Odem. That should be interesting. I might go.

Whats the word on Alaniz at UT this year??? Anyone know if he's gonna take a shirt or not. He's not getting any PT right now and I hear arm is sore. Maybe UT coaches are being careful on the arm and take a shirt and try again next year???

Last I heard, there was a good chance he'd start at third. Don't know yet whether that's panned out or not.

doesn't appear to have panned out yet...early season games and I don't think he's getting any PT. Had high hopes of seeing him contribute this year. Hopefully things turn out well for him.

Chances are they probably will, but there has been no official decision. He has to rehab his arm and he wouldn't be ready to pitch until late May or early June.

Sinton beat Odem last night 11-4.

The Pirates went 3-1 at the Poteet Tournament this past weekend.

Lost to Poteet then won the next three against San Marcos, Floresville and Pleasanton.

Beat Odem 11-5 last night.

They play some big names in the CC Tournament starting Thursday at 5:30 against Robstown. They play Moody and San Marcos on Friday.

Heard Adrian has been red-shirted at UT. The injury to his arm seems to be the main concern. I can't blame UT for wanting to get a full 4 out of him. Much as I want to see him start for the horns, I'd prefer he be 100% healthy.

The Sinton Lady Pirates softball team play the Orange Grove Lady Bulldogs tonight in Sinton at 7:00 P.M. Only two home runs over the fence have ever been hit in this stadium (and they were probably in March when the wind was blowing out of the north) since it faces southest where the wind usually blows from which has prevented several home runs from happening but tonight the wind is supposed to be out of the north northwest so there may be a chance that we may see a homerun tonight over the fence. We will see.

He transferred to an Arizona school. I hear he is doing well.

Anyone have the score from last nights game against Cuero? Last I heard it was 3-2 Cuero in the 5th.

For those able to make the Calallen tourney this weekend. Sinton will be playing Calallen on Thursday @ 5pm.

Lady Pirates lost last night to Moody 10-0! :eek: These are good "tests" for them against these larger schools.

Old Card, my bet is that it is due to their tradition and coach. Both are superb.

Sinton did beat Edcouch-Elsa. Calallen had 2 pitchers pitch back to back perfect games. Justin Chambless struck out all 15 batters he faced.
Sinton's next game is Victoria Memorial Thursday@ 8pm at Aviator Stadium in Robstown.

The Sinton girls lost to Victoria yesterday in softball 11 to 5. Tonight they play Mathis in Sinton at 7:00 for the first district game of the year if it doesn't get rained out.

Hopefully, our Pirates will pull it together and make another run. Sure would like to travel to Austin again this summer. We've been talking on the board here about doing a 3A DownLow get together in Austin, and I think the state baseball tourney would be a great time for that. Heh heh, have pit will travel!!!!:D
