I don't know if it is the top stats or not but in two games Rockdale's cois Walker has carried the ball 41 times and has 356 yards with 4 touchdowns. That is 8.68 YPC

Question. Has any team in the state, 1A through 5A, scored more points this year than Gilmer? So far, in 2 games, they have scored 133 points.

Observation

We might have been a bit premature by proclaiming Green as the city’s best sophomore in Saturday’s edition (Madison’s Green copies TD-record form of cousin, Page 9D). Not that we take it back. But we’ll at least keep the debate open out of respect for fellow sophomore Malcolm Brown, who has proven to be no less precocious in his first season as a full-time starter at Steele.

Who’s better? After what he did on Thursday, you have to take Green. But as Knights coach Mike Jinks hinted after Brown rushed for 226 yards and four touchdowns in barely a half against Stevens, it’s a matter of 1A versus 1B. The only thing we can say definitively at this early juncture in their careers is that it’s going to be highly entertaining watching the two boy wonders state their case in the coming seasons.

this was in today's express news.....the s.a. area may have to of the better soph's in the state.

Wins and losses are all that matter and that is only when district starts! Until then who really cares!
