Kick Off Deferment

Did I just hear the Cowboy announcers say that its a new rule this year that the coin flip winner can NOW defer receiving the kick off for the first time with a rule change? So the pro's werent always this way? Apparently not, eh?

The rule was changed this year, just like they do in high school and college.
