Brookshire Royal returns 19, count them, 19 starters. Good grief.

Manvel is a new school and this is their first year of Varsity Football. They nearly won both of their first games losing by a combined 17 points. -I think.

LaGrange @ Needville is the matchup of the week. Should be a good game. A good test to know what each team is made of.

Now Hitchcock was supposed to make some noise, and I know they have 1 win already, but I'm not sure about their second game against Kelly Catholic.

Sweeny hammered VV but they will get a much more quality opponent this week. this game will let us know what Sweeny does or doesn't have.

Giddings should win this game easily. The backups should see significant PT. But, then again, ya never know.

with El Campo then Bellville coming up they are most likely looking at an 0-5 start...
They do catch a break though to start district with Brookshire. There may not be anything left of Brookshire after WOS mops the field with them the previous week....

namely....baseball and non-football specialists.....

but the new coaching staff is trying to change that i read.....

lately....wharton has no abndance of athletic talent playing football.

Bports defense sucks big time. They gave up a ton of yards to the necks & the sandcrabs. If sweeny can hang on to the ball like Calhoun did & make a few stops of Bports offense they could conceivably win it....

The sweeny brazosport game is going to be very interesting...

I mean, you have 2 young teams both with speed, blah blah blah....

But the REAL story is, The kid who was bport's tailback for the last 2 years who has transferred to and now is starting for sweeny.

Who has the upper hand?

Brazosport had 350 yards put on them by West Columbia, and over 400 by Port Lavaca. Sweeny got like 200 yards and 4 touchdowns out of the EX-Exporter in their first game of the season.

Sweeny has a good chance...
