I have been watching...JJ is playing pretty well. Threw a really pretty deep ball to Tannehill, but Tannehill got shucked 20 yards off and we got a no call. Defense still playing pretty bad though.

I am just looking at the Gametrax and it look like New Mexico is having some success rushing against A&M.

New Mexico's QB has been picked twice.

21-7 Aggies at half time. Jeff Fuller looking good. Mike Goodson and Stephen McGee both injured now.:(

Here comes the typical Aggie response now that a backup QB has gotten PT. They will be calling for Stephen's head and if he messes up one time they'll all ride Johnson's jock. See Reggie McNeal and the QB before him. Poor Stephen he'll have to put up it now :(

I think most schools do this that aren't particularly happy with their starting QB. Just take a quick look at some of the UT fans who want to see Chiles on the field over McCoy.

The Aggie fan base proclaimed McNeal the next heisman winner....then McGee came in and McNeal "sucked" so they proclaimed McGee as the next Heisman winner. I can just see the same thing happening.

It can get pretty bad out that way, but then again they've spent the better part of the last two decades looking for the next Bucky and have yet to find one. They're kinda the Chicago Bears of college football in that respect. Maybe Johnson will turn out to be a really good one though before he graduates. He certainly has all the physical tools you look for in a QB.

UT fans can be just as vocal about their QB's. I was never happy with Chrissy playing over the Major. He never did anything to deserve the job. I'm just glad that Major has been successful as a coach and is on the fast track to being a head coach one day while Simms career as a QB is pretty much over.
