I don't know a thing about Devine, but the way Cuero is playing I will have to go with them in another one.

Beeville and Rio Hondo i think are better teams and Cuero took them apart, so look for another big margin win. Bay City matchup should be good maybe in two weeks.

Will not even be close. Cuero in a bowout unless they put in the backups at the half.

I think BC is picked Dead last in their district. That should be a blowout too with the way they handled Beeville.

Any of yall got stats on Arndt's passing this season?

Necks_Fan - so far his stats are:
against Beeville - 8 of 13 with 1 int for 150 yards (team total 278 yards rushing of which at least 55 yds were Arndt's on 1 carry (I am sure he had more but I don't recall the exact yardage)

against Rio Hondo - 13 of 19 with 1 int for 225 yards (team total of 226 yards rushing) I don't have his rushing stats
Kudos to the OL - they are giving Tyler good protection. How's this for a balanced offense - 225 passing and 226 rushing. Keep it up Gobblers....... OGAAT :)

Didn't arndt go the whole season w/o an Int last year? He has already thrown 2? And he has got to have thrown some Td's.

I wouldn't agree with this game being Game of the Week (not that my input is taken into account on this issue...).

Not many people would call these teams "evenly matched"...not even close. There are too many other games out there this week that will be good ones, and Cuero has better opponents coming up.

Cuero playing well right now and really have too much speed for the Warhorses to handle...Gobblers by 28 at least...

LOL. Who was the one person who picked Devine in the poll?

Cuero won't lose a game until sometime in December... again... It is sick how talented they are, especially being in Reg IV. They won't be challenged again (seriously) until they meet up with one of those teams from the northernmost district.

Any of yall got stats on Arndt's passing this season? difference being.....Bay City = Fast, Beeville = not as fast as Bay City.

With that said, I think Cuero wins this game (the Devine game) fairly easily, but I DO think Devine is/will be better than most are giving them credit for.

Difference from Bay City and Beeville is Beeville has a better coach and better overall just not the speed like Bay City.Against Cuero you have to have speed first otherwise you are at a disadvantage from the start.

I'll agree with that, hence the Bay City/Cuero game last year......and heck..any other team that plays Cuero for that matter. The Gobblers are so well coached, with so many good athletes, that if you don't have BLAZING speed, chances are you aren't going to fair too well against the Gobblers.

I am interested in knowing more about the Devine team. What types of offense and defense do they run? Who are their stars and what positions do they play? Would like to hear from you Devine fans.

Going to be a great matchup next week bay city -cuero.The gobblers are tough at home but the city cats will be ready for them lots of speed in this game.

I don't know anything about Devine this year, but the gobblers are looking pretty good this year, I think best since 2005 when they lost to Hutto.

As far as Bay city goes, that's next week. Aren't they running a wing T this year?, much different than the spread with Shaun Rutherford. Cuero had no depth last year, this year they are mixing up the defenses and rotating a lot of players.

JT44, I agree that Bay City is next week. Let's play them one game at a time. Just wish I knew more about Devine. I read where they were ranked #15 in one poll.

Devine runs the double wing offense, not to be confused with beeville's and liberty hill's offense. they run the split on defense. stud players are the QB who dislocated his elbow against comfort last week and he will not be available for the game against cuero. other than that, no real standouts, they have a few guys on the d line that are pretty good, but, Just a bunch of guys that play hard.
