All three scores were a little shocking.

Clyde beating a District 5-3a (former this time) again early in the season. Will it finally mean a playoff run more than one game ?

IP just cant get anything going anymore. One of these days it will become part of Wichita Falls. :)

NICE JOB BURK !!!!!!!!!!! Yeah baby !!! Love those guys at Burk, nice town, nice people, nice faculty at the high school.

looks like 4 teams fighting for 3 spots in a tough district... Burk, Vernon, Decatur and Bridgeport.

Vernon will stay home this year with Bridgeport, Burk and Decatur moving on.

This one is a little shocking. I figured Clyde would be pretty good this year, and would do very well in 2A, but I never saw this coming. And wasnt this played in Graham?

Looks like my Mustangs better come to play and play hard when Clyde comes to the bowl in a couple weeks.

This is 2 weeks in a row that Clyde has thumped what was supposed to be pretty good teams.

Decatur won't be staying home. They won't finish lower than 2nd in district.

Burk had control of this game more than what the score indicates. Burk is looking good and will definitely be in the mix for the district title.
Still a ways to go until district starts and anything can happen. Injuries, grades... teams go hot and cold sometimes.
Vernon's looking better than what I thought they would. Hats off to Hall and his staff after two games. Kids are stepping up for the Lions.

I would say Burk and Decatur are my sure picks to get into the playoffs, third spot is a battle between Vernon and Bridgeport.

Vernon is. They are the defending district champs. Have won the region 2 out of the past 5 years and have went several rounds every year save one. Then throw in Burk who went two deep last year and is looking very good.

Decatur had a bad year last year and I do not know how improved they are. Bridgeport would be my third pick as of now. Hirshi may sneak up on any team in the district and IP always plays Vernon tough. If I had a pick now for who looks the strongest (I have not seen any play) it would be Burk.

Burk beating Arglye is impressive. They looked flat vs. sweetwater last week. Clyde vs Cisco?? When is that game?? Might be a good one.

I thought so too. We will be able to gage Vernon and Argyle both next week.

I was really surprised by the Burk - Argyle score. After watching Graham get whacked by Clyde last Friday, I don't give the Steers much of a chance this week in Burk.

Six turnovers could be the reason Argyle lost to Burk. They will be a different team against Vernon this week. Not a typical showing for Argyle last Friday. We'll know more about Vernon this Friday.
