Thanks WOS87 - notice Cuero @ #5 - I don't have last week's in front of me - who dropped down? Thanks ;)

Navasota dropped from #4 to #6 as China Spring and Cuero each jumped ahead one spot. Last weeks rankings are listed as the final number in the row next to each team.

Gilmer and Sealy traded places in #9 and #10, otherwise the top 10 consists of the exact same 10 teams from the preseason poll.

Port Lavaca moved up a little. I watched them in the Alamodome Sat. and their offense is good. Boyd, their middle linebacker is awesome!!

I'm very very surprised Cisco isn't the unanimous #1 team in 2A, they absolutely stomped Early leaving no doubts in the team.

As I predicted in the summer, Monahans will be in the top 10 by the time district play begins.

My vote also, they are the team to beat in this district, and they sould also be ranked higher than other teams out of this district!

It is prolly hard to put a team that didn't start in the top 10 into the top 10 with a 0-1 record, regardless of who the loss came to and how close a game it was.

A win last week would have gone a long ways. IF our boys handle the next few weeks with wins against some good opponents, I am sure the votes will come. Lord knows Sealy doesn't have the schedule to stay in the top 10 unless they start blowing people away.

On the district subject, it will be a tough district. IMO, Giddings, Bellville, And Sealy are possible district champs in MOST NOT ALL districts and they will battle it out. LG is a possible playoff team in MOST NOT ALL districts that have it tough if the three above teams play the way they prolly should.
