How many of you would be willing to make a donation toward purchasing software and setup costs for a BRAND NEW dedicated 4A site just like this one is dedicated to 3A? I know someone who might be willing and able to help you get one started if yall are interested.

I kinda like the idea of a 4A Down Low or something, then again, I really like most of the move-up's posters...

It's kinda like having one of your good friends move away... Though he's moved on, you still want him to come visit, and most times even stay for a while...

If we get the bandwidth problem fixed (which I'm sure is one reason some feel the board should not have so many 4A posts so there is room for 3A ones), I say let them post away about what's going to be going on with their respected teams...

I dunno if this would fix the bandwith problems but maybe the admins should delete some of those accounts with 10 posts and havnt been posted on in forever or the ones that don't get used no more. I know I have 3 other ones from a while back that I lost my password to.

Please restrict your comments to whether or not you would be willing to help. My contact is serious and has asked me to post this to determine if there's any interest. No one is asking you to leave. You can have your membership on both sites. I'm not advocating taking away your membership here. That will be up to you.

No sir, I won't have any part in it except to support MY favorite 4A team. I'm simply trying to help get the ball rolling for YOU guys, and I'm kinda being made a bad guy in all this. I promise you this, the moderators are QUITE likely to be selected from among posters on this site whose teams are moving up. My contact feels that folks from here will already know what standards need to be set, thus no one will need training.

i think that is a good idea 66, the only thing for me is that until summer time rolls around, im gonna be a little strapped for cash and whatnot. but when that time comes, id be more than willing to donate some doughnuts, if ya know what i mean. stinkin school is a pain in the butt to pay for and cell phone bills stink too, and dish network is another one (although, espn 24/7 is a nice thing).

fair enough, i definitely want to be able to help out somehow, and if the stuff only costs $160, then it may be more managable than i was thinking, hehe. i hate studying for classes, 3 tests and a speech this week, but its all worth it in the long run. just figured id chase a rabbit for a minute there.

I thought 3adownlow was gonno go to vbulliten or something similar. Couldnt you just make two seperate boards, like on texashsfootbal.com?

sinton66
02-10-2004, 11:39 PM
I think vBulletin licenses per active site, One site per license. It will allow you to do seperate FORUMS, but not two BBS. I think that's why they need to buy their own software.

Because a DEDICATED site is what sets this one apart from all the others(makes it unique) and what makes it so much better. EVERYBODY else is doing multi-classification forums except the pig. They just throw everybody in together and let them fight it out. Besides, our admins didn't even want to set up seperate forums for other 3A sports, why would they do one for 4A? Even if they did, as soon as the new 4A board goes hot, the 4A forum here would die a slow death anyway. I hope you understand that there will be the same people on both boards for a long time. Most if not all of the initial membership for the new site will come from this one. I plan on bouncing back and forth between them, myself. I too have a favorite 4A team that I follow and support.
