Anybody know much about Mabank this year? They've always had a pretty competitive team. Last year we were able to pound the ball on the ground to come out with the victory. What can we expect to see this week?

i would have to say that this game isnt even worth going to. mabank has never been competitive against forney.

yeah i expect forney should take this one- but mabank is not terrible, they could make it tough - they got 1 good runner who had 179 yds last week

Merlin I guess you're showing your age. Back in 1991 Forney was ranked #3 and Mabank was #9 in the state. We squeaked out a 13-10 victory in Mabank on a rain soaked field. I would say that back in the 90's they were pretty competitive.

I'll be there regardless of how much of a blowout is expected...after last week, I think it would be nice to win easily.

I would say that back in the 90's they were pretty competitive.and it was FREEZING cold that night - never above 30 degrees - i remember it very well! but for a 4A school, albeit a small one, Mabank appears to have really small numbers. their 8th grade team had about 30 kids on A & B teams combined & their varsity roster only has about 40. wonder whats going on there ...

As far as Mabank never being competitive agaisnt Forney, I remember during the 98 season, Mabank went into Forney and beat them like 40-10. Not exactly sure what the score was but it was something like that.

showtime, that was also the only year that yall beat us, so i guess you can understand that it must have been a terrible season if it involves losing to yall.

oh wait, i guess you were still in eustace then, im sure we beat yall that year.

We opened the new stadium in Forney in 1975. Sorry to say we lost that game also to guess who? .....Mabank.

Oh no! Talking to my mom today, she said she's pretty sure the game is going to be rained out! She said with the new field and all there's no way we'd want to ruin it by playing on it when it's muddy.

Lol...I told her that they'd play unless there's lightning, but she doesn't believe it, or at least she doesn't want to. I told her she may WISH it would be rained out so she won't have to sit out there, but I'll want to be there even if it is raining.

Rain never hurt a ballgame...just gettin' close to duck season! Need a Wood Duck drake for my wall. Got a nice pintail last year (Or should I say my son did)

If FISD would have went with the Astro-play field turf instead of grass it wouldn't even be an issue.

I would hate for them to stop a game JUST because of rain. That is what football is all about. Getting down and dirty.
