Liberty Hill 30
Giddings 8


Giddings points came with :13-:15 on the clock. I was really proud of our freshman team because they have struggled some the past two years. Late-season adjustments last year to a few positions seemed to make a huge difference and they have found their stride. :cheerl: :cheerl: :cheerl:


JV was tied at 0 when I left after Q1.

No, they were 8th graders last year when the adjustments were made & they've carried over. :p

Brownwood has two JV's and two freshman teams... Last year I think the Freshman White played A Wylie about 5 times. It can be a struggle to find games for 2 fresh and 2 JV

Sinton really didn't throw the ball all that good IMO. Just quick little WR screens, inside handoffs, and QB keepers. Goliad took a lot of shots downfield and had some receivers drop some good ones. The JV running back, #21, was freakin awesome. Great runner.

Not making excuses but Caldwell's JV had the QB out for surgery other injuries, last minute position changes...all not good for the first week out. Guess I did just make an excuse! Our pass defense wasn't quite there. ;)

(freshman team)

#21 is a freshman and his dad was a stud back in the early 90s, he wore the same # ;)

Brownwood freshman maroon beat Burnet 48-20 and at the half it was the JV Maroon up 28-0 over Burnet. I was not there, but this is what I was told.

Farmersville JV lost to Winnsboro JV 27-22. It came down to the last play of the game when the Farmers had the ball on the 20 and needed a score to win. Timely plays by the Winnsboro defense kept the victory alive and the Farmers JV falls short. Good effort guys!!!!

I think you have the freshman and JV scores reversed. I was not there for the JV game but the Bellville freshman beat Caldwell 23-8. And I'd like to say congratulations to our freshmen. They played a great game. Had a little something to prove since Caldwell ruined their undefeated season as 8th graders by beating them in the last game of the season.

I don't know why they didn't play a freshman game. They had over 40 players at the JV game last night. Perhaps Winnsboro doesn't have a freshman team............
