Figured Gilmer would probably turn this game into a rout. Godfrey may have been the only guy returning on offense, but if it's just going to be one returning starter I wouldn't mind him being the one.

Was in attendance at the game tonight. I'm going to tell you things you probably already figured, darian Godfrey is very very good, Gilmer is very fast on both sides of the ball, and they have a lot of depth and are in great condition and just wore jasper down.

Gilmer fumbled on the first drive down inside the 5. Was really the only time the game was in much jeapordy as from then on out it was pretty much all Gilmer. Jasper had several turnovers in the first half, and also faked a punt in the 2nd quarter that blew up in their face. Jasper came out from half with a little bit of a spark, and scored a couple touchdowns in the 3rd, but by the time the 4th got their they were worn out again. Gilmer continuosly pushed the pace to wear down Jasper.

all in all was happy with what I saw, Both sides of the ball can still improve, and with the pre district lineup there are plenty of big games just around the corner.

Jasper has a lot of work to do....with Bailey they can do some damage but they need to find someone else to take the load off his shoulders

One of the Running backs for Jasper had a few long runs, maybe he can be that other threat. Jasper is a good football team, they will make the playoffs and by the time district rolls around they will challenge Carthage and Diboll for a district title. I think that Jasper just needs to get in a little better shape, if you don't have the depth your opponet has you need to be in just as good as shape. I think they were a little worn out in the early parts of the game. Was like the game was just moving to fast for em. Jasper will be fine, If Gilmer has to play em in the first round it will be a great game.

Jasper always seems to have an issue with conditioning. I'm not sure why. They also have an issue with turnovers in this offense at the beginning of the season. They will be just fine down the road.
