The official rule is..

The players mother gives a poor pitiful me story to the DEC and all will be fine

If they move into the attendence zone thay have to be in the school by the 6th day of classes or they have to wait 15 days before they can participate.

Well, here at Wylie there able to play right away, seeing as Coach Sandifer has his way with the UIL:D(at least that what everbody thinks any!) As for everyone else the rules are very quarky and sometimes hard to understand leaving you at the mercy of the UIL and some stupid committee.
