All of the info below is from CharlesRixey....I inserted the poll so the thread shows me as the author...but I am not!!!

Paris North Lamar @ Texarkana Liberty-Eylau
the rest of this week's pick 'em
#19 Dallas Madison vs. #68 Decatur
#82 Whitesboro @ 2A #2 Pilot Point
#72 Wills Point @ # 79 Athens
#84 Nevada Community vs. 2A Melissa
there are several fairly good games this week from a wide assortment of up and coming teams. While there may be no high profile throwdowns, all of the above should be very exciting games.
Madison will be favored against Decatur, but the Eagles are a perennial playoff team and a great opening for a young yet experienced Dallas team.
Whitesboro and Pilot Point, in a rematch of last year's district battle, will set the tone for both teams for the season-PP needs to prove it can be a force in 2A, while whitesboro wants to prove last year's 7-3 record was no accident (i'm fairly certain they would also like to end the longest playoff drought in the state-no appearances in the 60+ year program's history)
The same can be said for Community and Melissa, two very promising Collin County teams who are both trending upward, although Melissa is much newer and a contender in 2A's region II.
