High school football in Central Texas will soon be found in your living room.

Time Warner Cable announced it will televise 72 games games season, including six this Friday.

The project is called Central Texas On Demand, a free local demand channel. From Friday’s Westlake-Cedar Park game to a full slate on Nov. 7, every part of the region will be televised.

CTOD will be on cable channel 1400 in the Austin area and channel 200 in the Waco-Temple-Killeen market. Some games will feature halftime marching band performances. Viewers can watch CTOD programming, including high school football from throughout Central Texas at any time and can pause, rewind, and fast-forward at their own convenience to catch highlights.

“This High School football season we’re providing more games than ever before on Central Texas On Demand,” said Stacy Schmitt, Vice President of Public Affairs for Time Warner Cable Central Texas. “Football fans can depend on Time Warner Cable to be their community connection to Central Texas high school football.”

Central Texas On Demand is an exclusive free service for Time Warner Digital Cable subscribers.

Central Texas On Demand Game of the Week

Friday night high school football isn’t just a sport, it’s a way of life! Now you can relive those incredible moments from your local high school football games with Central Texas On Demand (CTOD), Time Warner Cable’s Free On Demand local channel.

High School football games from Austin, Round Rock, Westlake, Waco, San Marcos, Killeen, Temple, Copperas Cove and surrounding areas will be made available on Video On Demand as part of the CTOD Game of the Week programming.

Beginning September 1, at least one Central Texas football team will be featured and their game made available, free of charge, exclusively on Time Warner Cable’s Central Texas On Demand channel 1400 in the greater Austin area and channel 200 in the Waco/Temple/Killeen area.

Half-time marching band performances will also be featured on most of the football games. Viewers can watch the Game of the Week at any time and can pause, rewind, and fast-forward CTOD programming at their own convenience to catch exciting game highlights

It's about time they did that down that way. TWC has a Metro sports channel on our system that replays games each week for multiple sports throughout the year. I believe we get at least one game per season when we play Lincoln. Metro Sports usually has a pretty good variety of schools shown in the sports they televise.

:rolleyes: Typical media BS. They always seem to forget there is football below 4A. I would much rather watch a LH, Burnet, Salado, Lexington or Mart game then Ellison vs. Shoemaker or some other lame matchup like that. Guess its all about pleasing the money makers.

They could've been here too, but I've been on DirecTv until this summer so I probably didn't pay attention if they were. :D
